Overview: Duplication of an existing bridge over live rail line in Spearwood and all associated roadworks.

Our Role: Construction of footpaths, abutments, wingwalls, approach slabs and bridge deck.

Value add/Innovation: The program was aggressive, and we were restricted to completing our work within six months. In addition, we were working over live rail, and in close proximity to live traffic and pedestrians. To minimise the risk of works on site, we pre-fabricated all abutment steel and cantilever edge formwork off site, which was then lifted in y crane. This reduced our program duration, and also resulted in less disruption during the installation, including fewer trades working on-site, which was critical due to the constraints. Our team also followed our well-established processes, procedures and management systems to safely undertake our works in close proximity to the live rail line.
